How to Darken light or Overexposed Photos

  • Duplicate the photo by dragging the background layer towards the new layer icon.

  • Change the Blend mode from Normal to Multiply
  • Repeat the process of copying the layer and changing the blending mode from normal to multiply, until the picture looks too dark.
  • The next step is to change the opacity located on the upper right corner of the layers palette.

  • Right Click on any of the layers in the palette, then choose flatten image which can be found in the bottom of the menu/choices when you're done.
